Child and Family Therapy
I believe that play is the language of
children. Sometimes children are unable to express themselves verbally. Play
therapy enables a child to address concerns and a developmentally appropriate
manner. As adults, it is sometimes necessary to tap into the subconscious in a
nonverbal manner, in order to bypass the intellect and address the core issues.
To guide the process for all ages, I blend nontraditional techniques of sand,
art, and play therapies long with the classic approaches of psychodynamic and a
developmental theories. The result is an integrative style designed to meet the
specific mental health needs of my clients.
